Q: Can you please tell me how the plate holder would mount to my bumper? Does it attach using strips, or are holes required? Thanks.
BIMMIAN REP.
A: It is actually possible to attach the plate holder to your bumper using the original screw holes put into your bumper by the factory when they mounted your original north american plate holder. You will just have to drill a couple holes in your new plate holder so that they line up with the existing bumper holes, and screw it in. the edges may come up a little, but those can be held down with double sided tape or butyl tape.
For a perfect installation, you can use the pre-formed holes in the plate holder, and put new holes into your bumper. The screws provided with your original plate holder are self-tapping screws, so they can be screwed directly into new places on the bumper to secure the plate holder.

Q: I just wanted to be sure that the euro one will cover the holes of the old American license plate bracket.

A: Do you have holes drilled in your bumper already? If so, or if you don't mind drilling your bumper, I would definitely recommend getting this plate bracket to prevent the plate from rattling against the bumper:

The plate frame will secure to the bracket and the plate will snap into the frame. This is the setup I would recommend.
