OBD Tools from bimmian.com
Has your BMW ever stalled, been slow to start, idled poorly or hesitated during acceleration? Has the Engine light (also known as the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light) come on when everything seemed fine? Have you ever received a costly repair bill and wondered if the repairs and charges were legitimate?
Without a code reader & reset tool you may be forced into accepting what the repair/service center tells you and charges you.
Features and Benefits Of This Product
Wouldn't it be great to know exactly what's wrong before you bring your BMW in for a repair? Or, better yet, if you're handy with tools you can avoid the repair shop altogether- run your own diagnostic and fix the problem yourself! That is, if your car even needs a repair.
What is the Engine light trying to tell me?
The BMW Engine light can mean any number of things. Sometimes it's alerting you to the real need for a repair, so the Engine light is something you should never ignore. But quite often it is merely indicating one of the many, simple (top off your coolant, loose gas cap or oil cap) type problems. Imagine paying a hundred dollars to a repair shop to tighten your radiator cap and reset the Engine light. Without a reader tool, you're stuck staring at your Engine light until you're in the mood to see the mechanic who can reset it.
Routine Maintenance Lights
As an added benefit, these tools includes the ability to reset the oil service and inspection, routine maintenance lights, and the maintenance mileage countdown indicator on most 94-07 models.
Indispensable for Mechanics, Racers, Installers, Tuners!
The BMW airbag light is something that every installer, mechanic, racer and tuner will eventually face. The removal of interior components such as the seat, steering wheel, ECUs, parts of the wiring harness, etc... will cause the airbag light to come on. And it stays on, until a tool is used to reset it. Until now, the only solutions were a trip to the dealer, which will always costs you time and money, or the purchase of a very costly scan and reset tool. With The low cost of these tools, you simply read the code, look up the code in our code book, make sure you know exactly why the airbag light is on, fix the problem, then reset it. That simple.
Has your airbag (SRS) light ever come on unexpectedly? Have you been driving around ignoring the SRS light? Do you know exactly why your SRS light came on (i.e. you triggered it while installing an alarm/stereo/steering wheel/seat) but you have no way to reset it? Are you tired of relying on someone else to get the SRS light reset?
Wouldn't it be great to have a good idea of what's wrong before you go in for a repair? Or, better yet, if it's a minor problem, like when racers swap in a racing seat and trigger the airbag light, you can scan it, fix it, and reset it yourself!
What is the SRS light trying to tell me?
The BMW SRS light can mean any number of things from serious to minor. Sometimes it's alerting you to the real need for a repair of a broken part, but sometimes it is merely indicating that a circuit critical to proper SRS operation was temporarily disconnected (i.e. while you were installing a stereo, alarm, racing seat or steering wheel).
Safety - Priority #1 :
Some people unwisely ignore the Airbag warning light. Doing so puts them and their passengers at unnecessary risk. Taking immediate action is the only wise choice. SRS Reset Tool can quickly help you determine the general nature of the problem; and while many SRS system repairs are not recommend for those without the proper tools and training, you will at least have information to help you make intelligent choices about what action to take. Plus, you will enjoy the ability to talk intelligently to your repair technician!
These inexpensive code reading & reset tools will enable you to avoid costly trips to the dealer to find out the meaning of "CHECK ENGINE SOON" lights, and "CEL or SRS SYSTEM WARNING" lights. You will always know exactly what is wrong with your vehicle before even taking it in for service.
The tools offered here will enable you to both read codes out of your BMW's computer, and to clear them once you have resolved the issues. Additionally, for do-it-yourselfers - these tools will allow you to reset service interval indicators such as "OIL CHANGE" and "INSPECTION SERVICE" lights.
